MASTERKEYWENDYHT – WEEK 17 – BLOG – CONCENTRATING ON THE REALITIES OF LIFE

In the introduction to Lesson 17, Haanel tells us that, “The student who masters the contents of Part 17…will be interested in causes, rather than effects. He will concentrate on the realities of life, and will then not be disappointed in the results.”

In the Sunday webinar, the following pairs of words were discussed. I thought I’d add some Haanel and Og quotes to the words to make more connections for myself and others.

VISION & ACTION
17-3 “…true conceptions are only secured by spiritual insight [which] requires a quickening of the vibrations of the Mind, and is only secured when the mind is continuously concentrated in a given direction.”
17-13 “…ease and perfection are gained by repetition.” [Action]
17-25 “…fundamentally the subconscious is omnipotent; there is no limit to the things that can be done when it is given the power to act.”

HARMONY & FOCUS / CONCENTRATION & COURAGE
Only when we become so identified with the object of our thought that we are conscious of nothing else are we truly concentrating. And, as we concentrate, invisible forces are set in motion which irresistibly bring about conditions in correspondence with our thought.
17-25 “Your degree of success is determined by the nature of your desire. If the nature of your desire is in harmony with Natural Law or the Universal Mind, it will gradually emancipate the mind and give you invincible courage.”

VIRTUE & ABUNDANCE
17-19 “Many of the sturdy and substantial virtues are developed in commercial employment; the mind is steadied and directed; it becomes efficient. The principal necessity is the strengthening of the mind so that it rises superior to the distractions and wayward impulses of instinctive life and thus successfully overcomes in the conflict between the higher and lower self.”
17-30 “…the man who has found the true source of power…is no longer interested in its [symbols of power] shams or pretensions.”

PURPOSE & IDEAL
17-27 “…A definite purpose sets causes in motion which go out in the invisible world and find the material necessary to serve your purpose.”
17-37 “Always concentrate on the ideal as an already existing fact; this is…the life principle which goes forth and sets in motion those causes which guide, direct and bring about the necessary relation, which eventually manifest in form.”

and Haanel also spoke of DESIRE & CONCENTRATION
17-6 “…you should be so interested in your thought, so engrossed in your subject, as to be conscious of nothing else. Such concentration leads to intuitive perception and immediate insight into the nature of the object concentrated upon.”
17-7 “All knowledge is the result of concentration of this kind…it is thus that the mind becomes a magnet and the desire to know draws the knowledge, irresistibly attracts it, makes it your own.”

One other thing really spoke to me in the Sunday webinar – in the section on The Makeover and Observation – and that was “effortlessly drawing out our unique gifts” AND “knowing it’s a simple shift in focus within” that makes this effortlessness possible.   Brilliant!

Mark also let us know that, from past MKMMA experience, the difference between the people who manifested things easily and those who struggled to manifest was permission.

So, I give myself permission to powerfully manifest my Definite Major Purpose with ease, compassion and love, NOW. And, I’m sending out thoughts of success for each and every one of you to manifest your DMPs in a manner that is for your highest good and for the highest good of All That Is.   Mahalo.

  1. Mahalo Wendy!
Now that brightens things up a might. Permission! Funny how we let ourselves get hung up over a simple word. Must be past teaching that keep the stop light flashing. Peace.

    1. Peace to you, too, Danny. Hmmmm, I wonder if we can reconfigure “Permission” into (as) “per” our “mission” (our DMP – the accomplishing of :-)) ???? Thanks for sparking that little bit of word play – much appreciated – and much needed. Yours in Gratitude, Light & Love wendyht

    1. Aloha Carole, I’m so happy my blog was of use to you :-)) This week-end is one with a chamber music concert on Saturday AND on Sunday – with a stand up reception after the Saturday concert. I’m on a Summer Chamber Music Festival committee here on the Sunshine Coast, so tonight, my hubby and I will make a wonderful Greek garlic (8 cloves)/potato (1 medium)/crushed almonds/lemon juice and olive oil – similar texture to a hummus and we’ll serve it with baguette and veggies. Yum!!! Music and Food, what more can one ask for? I wish you a wonderful week-end too. Mahalo again. Yours in Gratitude, Light & Love wendyht

    1. You’re most welcome. If you check out above, you’ll see that Danny’s comment sparked a reconfiguration of the word “permission” into (as) “per” (our) “mission” (DMP) – how’s that??? Wishing you a wonderful week-end. Yours in Gratitude, Light & Love wendyht

    1. Aloha Sherry, I really enjoyed your blog too – I left a comment there ;-)) Thank you for your comment above – much appreciated. Ah, yes, the Truth! I had a little cry yesterday over one of the quotes that appeared on one of our MKMMA blogs – Abraham Maslow: “You will either step forward into GROWTH, or you will step backward into SAFETY.” Safety used to sound like such a nice word, but that quote really hit me between the eyes. So my tears were partly about realizing that in order to grow, I must step out of my comfort zone…and that brought up some tears of fear, just for a wee while ;-} We went off to a concert this afternoon and I noticed that, while in a conversation with someone on our committee, I actually found it easy to ask the committee member if she’d be open to complementary therapies for some symptoms that were not responding to her doctor’s meds. Even if she’d said no, I’d have been happy just to realize how easy and comfortable it was for me to ask her that question…it’s a complete about face for me. 🙂 Yay, MKMMA!!! Mahalo for being you, Sherry, and for being on this MKMMA journey ;-)) Yours in Gratitude, Light & Love wendyht

  3. I love how you break things down. I am working on giving myself to permission to be successful. I realised this was blocking my progression. You are truly inspiring. Thank you.
